Horizontal Solar Shading – Residential Property – Putney, London
Solar Shading – London
NLC recently installed the Brise Soleil on a private residential property in Putney, London. The brackets were fixed directly onto the face of the building with the panels projecting 1000mm from the wall. The panels provided shading to a large living area at the rear of the property. All aluminium components that were supplied by NLC were powder coated white to match the windows and render on the building.
Vertical Brise Soleil with Tapering Blades – Southampton
Tapering Solar Shading – Southampton
The job shown in the images below is one of NLC’s latest projects. Two vertical brise soleil panels that contain a series of blades that step down equal amounts each time to follow the line of a roof. The blades are supported by two horizontal box section rails that were pre-loaded with fixed angle brackets at NLC’s factory. The blades were supplied with laser profiled end caps which were polyester powder coated to match the blades and supports.
Rectangular Blade Timber Brise Soleil – Oxford
Timber Shading – Lifestyle Centre, Oxford
Another one of NLC’s recent installations came in the form of a vertical shading panel to the entrance of a new Lifestyle / Fitness Centre in Oxford. The panel consisted of western red cedar vertical fins fixed to horizontal powder coated aluminium rails. All fixing details were kept to a minimum on this project so when viewed from the external face no fixing points were visible for the supports or the blades themselves. The horizontal box sections were supported directly off of the windows with the used of half hidden curtain walling brackets. The curtain walling brackets were installed prior to the capping so that all five fixings per bracket were hidden. The blades were then secured to the box section with folded angle cleats to the rear, again giving a very clean looking appearance when viewed from outside.
Timber Effect Aluminium Brise Soleil – New Residential Properties, North London
Aluminium Shading Fins with Timber Effect Finish – London
The latest project to be completed by Nationwide Louvres is the supply, delivery and installation of Timber Effect Brise Soleil to a new residential development in North London. The shading panels were fabricated using rectangular box section support rails & 210mm elliptical blades. Prior to installation the blades were sent to a specialist powder coating company who applied a dark wood effect finish to the blades which gave the aesthetics of wood with the durability of aluminium. The blades stepped down in size to follow the line of the roof and covered one half of the large triangular windows that were the main feature to the living spaces of the new houses. The panels were installed as non-vision panels more so than Brise Soleil but they will still offer a certain of shading in the summer months to that section of window.
